So 2024 I never made a post with like... 'goals' and I think from here on out I'm going to make sure they're listed and hold myself to them.

In 2025, I have three.

One, make three comics. I have two already in the works from this year but... I was aggressively naive in terms time needed.

The writer of this RINGO NOM’D INDIE COMIC (and a very dear friend of mine) is a Syrian Refugee who has been through more continuous hardships than I have space to list here; constantly navigating visa applications, unstable living conditions, predatory landlords (limited options as a refugee).

Anas just wants to make comics and live a normal life like what so many of us take for granted. Backing this campaign will help Anas to take the next step toward freedom and autonomy, helping to fund a move to another country with more stable employment options. This is truly one of the most important comics purchases you will ever make.

Middle Eastern and North African comics creators are some of the most underrepresented in the comics industry of the western world. Anas isn’t running a GoFundMe to support this move, and is not asking for charity. Simply, Anas is using their talent for storytelling, along with Dennis’ gorgeous art, to offer you a beautiful experience in the comics medium, that also goes toward funding a better life for Anas.

I wrote three history papers, did a group project's power point, and finished a capstone class three weeks early because I graduated during finals week and had my Dad coming in/moving back home (5 day trip).

Time management, outlines, and two all nighters just to button it up.

I wrote up a seven-day mapping trip for field camp AND HAND-DREW THE GEOLOGICAL MAP in an all-nighter the night before it was due, on Jolt Cola, turned it in at 8 am, and got in the van to go to the next location. Got an A. GenAI can go fuck itself.

I wrote a 15 page report on heraldic symbolism in medieval armor and weapon design for my art history class the night before it was due (8am class). Made up 90% of it (only found one book for reference) and got an A. GenAI could fucking never.

I am literally alive because of social media. It has helped my career, given me friends, helped me grow as an artist. But I literally would very likely be dead if people had not kindly helped me afford a surgery in 2020 and again helping me this year w/ my medical crisis.

Uhhh... not yet? I've mostly been trying to use SM to help others. No jobs offered, no wives met, no world changing breaks for myself. I helped keep a couple of people's lights on, though? Realistically, we're supposed to help people no matter what, but it's easier with SM.
