If you haven't seen Senator Cory Booker's interview on Maddow after he broke the filibuster record, you should watch it.

What an inspiring leader. More Senate Democrats should follow his example!

These are not normal times - do something different!

Thank you, Sen. Cory Booker!
After getting some rest, I am in awe of everyone who continues to lift their voice and speak out. This is a moment for our country, and we must make a choice about the America we want to be.

This is heartbreaking.
I received a heartbreaking email today: A paper in a special issue I’m editing is being retracted because one of its authors is afraid of losing their job and their legal status in the U.S. if they publish a scientific study on evolution. Yes, on evolution, nature's engine of diversity.

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

“By retracting foreign aid, President Trump could make tuberculosis untreatable again.”

- John Green
The Atlantic
1/ The cure for TB—roughly half a year on antibiotics—has existed since the 1950s. It works for most patients. Yet, in the decades since, more than 100 million people have died of TB because the drugs are not widely available in many parts of the world.

Last time I checked there are exactly zero measles vaccine-related hospitalizations or deaths in 2025, but there are 223 of measles cases, 29 hospitalizations, and 2 deaths in Texas alone

RFK Jr. claims child died of measles because of poor nutrition & lack of an exercise program!! He also claims that antibiotics can treat measles!! Basic science and medicine - antibiotics cannot cure viral infections! He would know this if he had some basic science or medical education.

How pathetic and scared must the Trump-Musk gang be, to purge or ban words like "women" "health equity" "gender" "Black" "disabled" "intersectionality" and "climate science"??

It’s hard to believe that in 2025 the head of HHS is recommending cod liver oil to treat measles!! It’s hard to imagine how many people could be at risk from this epidemic!

Another “rapid unscheduled disassembly” of a SpaceX rocket, brought to you by the man who is rapidly disassembling our democracy.
A SpaceX rocket exploded during a test flight after launching from a base in Texas 🚀

Multiple flights had to be grounded in Florida due to debris.

SpaceX has received over $15B in government contracts and state grants and the only thing Nazi Musk’s company has produced consistently is failed launches and high velocity explosions. This is what I’d call actual fraud and a real waste of tax dollars.

COLBERT, on Rep. Al Green’s removal:

“Some people questioned why so much muscle was needed to remove an old man with a cane. But it turns out it was for a serious reason. When security searched him, they found that he smuggled in a spine."
