Made some progress on this old Thousand Sons buddy :) I gotta say, I am really impressed by how microset / microsol can make a decal work on any surface - these shoulderpads are pretty beat up #nerdlings #miniaturepainting #oldhammer

A rogue trader-era thousand sons chaos space marine mini for warhammer 40k. It is painted blue with steel and copper metal accents and yellow trim. The loin cloth has been painted yellow with a blue icon of Tzeentch freehand, after a reference image I found.

Day 8 is table ready Calgar v2 who has been sitting in a shoe box unpainted for almost 20 years! His backpack is loooong gone but I figure I can pick it up down the line if I feel like it. Oldhammer is just so cool.

White Dwarf 126, a classic that featured Space Marine, Space Hulk, & Marieburg for WFRP

The cover is by artist Colin Sullivan and was used, along with some more of his art, in the GW release of RuneQuest. Sullivan's work also graced the covers of the Way of the Tiger gamebooks

The bases on these are less vibrant than the Stirland ones for the living, with more dead leaves, a darker dryer deader looking grass and brown dying ferns. And a rat is trying to get away from the death.

Definitely coming together. I got impatient last night and started working the nozzle before it was sufficiently set, hopefully I managed to rescue it... I'm pretty confident that I'll have _something_ ready for Friday's game.

Edge highlights need a major clean up but the gun is the focus for now.

People say it would be the terrifying theocracy and threat of horrifying violence that would make living in the 40k universe bad, but i think it would the awful headaches you'd get from holding this much tension in your brow and jaw.

Officially I bought into 40k first but this was my first full box and we played the hell out of Mordheim for years. It took me 25 years to finally get round to collecting the Witch Hunters for it though!
