Super relatable feeling.

Looking back on medicine has felt like a series of grueling expectations with a lot of promises, shortly followed by getting thrown to the wolves consistently. Outside of other HCWs, it's just been a constant chain of being let down by every supposed support structure.

You'd be surprised what the stress does, and what people do to relieve that stress when you give them a break.

Are people stressed? Absolutely.

The moment they get their 30-40 minute break will they have a 5 minute fuck and 30 minute nap? Also absolutely.

There has been more relying on contractors in the last 15 or so years compared to in the past. Using a collection of specialists that rent space to maximize hospital profits has definitely been an ongoing issue with costs. But its also just a small sliver of the issue
