It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

Members of Congress: stop posting online and APPEAR, PHYSICALLY on the steps of the Capitol to decry this unconstitutional violation of domestic & international law. SHOW THE PEOPLE the level of danger we are facing as a country.

There is something almost impressive about how many times Congressional Republicans will punch themselves in the dick to accommodate Donald Trump.

The United States can only begin war with another country through a declaration of Congress. The President’s actions are unjustified and unconstitutional. Military attacks upon Venezuela and the loss of life and property must end immediately.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

This is good news. The ICE agent is arrested on state charges, so the Convicted FElon & the Regime can't do anything to stop this. They can try but it will be illegal.

Speaker Johnson has illegally and unconstitutionally refused to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva for more than a month, denying Arizona voters their right to representation in Congress.

Her election is certified.

His obstruction is partisan and indefensible.

Federal agents are overtly abusing their power to try to intimidate advocates and elected officials. We need ICE out of Illinois immediately and justice for people like Ald. Jessie Fuentes who are defending their communities.

A fitting tribute to my friend Kari Dziedzic. The 10th Avenue Bridge now carries her name, just as she carried our state with strength and grace, always bridging divides and bringing people together.

Rep. Jamie Raskin nails it.

“It is not lost on anyone that shutting the government down allows them not to swear in our new colleague Adelita Grijalva who would be the 218th signature to discharge the Epstein files.

"So it’s convenient for them to shut the government down."

You can't be "brave" when there is no threat to you.

NOW...is the opportunity for Americans to demonstrate courage/bravery. Are there risks for the average American...now? Absolutely. But....that's how bravery has always been demonstrated throughout history. It's the only realm where it can be.

While "It's just a distraction from Epstein," might address the dual purpose of a given event in the last several weeks, I would urge caution with the word "just."

If someone saws their leg off to distract themselves from a migraine...it wasn't "just" a distraction. It was also an amputation.

Trump will likely try to use this to justify authoritarian crackdowns...and delegitimize dissent. Democrats should preempt that by warning: “Yes, violence is unacceptable...and equally unacceptable...is using this tragedy as an excuse to strip away constitutional freedoms.”

Stop saying “retard.”
It’s not “just a word.” It’s a slur.

That word has been weaponized for decades to dehumanize people with intellectual & developmental disabilities. Using it doesn’t make you edgy. It makes you an ableist. Period.

Powell: "GDP growth has slowed notably in the first half of this year, to a pace of 1.2%, roughly half the 2.5% pace in 2024. The declining growth has largely reflected a slowdown in consumer spending ... higher tariffs have begun to push up prices in some categories of goods."
