Hi, I'm Chris! And I'm currently out of work and seeking employment. I am a career game designer, having done primarily RPG systems work but also quest/narrative and combat/encounter content. I am also a visual artist, writer, and voice actor. If you could use someone like me, hit my DMs.

as an American, Americans react to me describing this as one of my faves as though I drink liquid smoke straight from the bottle.

come to think of it I should try that some time
an antique tin for terva leijona lakritsapastilleja, a mildly sweet liquorice pastille with smoky pine tar in it.

as a perennial miller, the sound I made when I read this would startle and alarm you. I don't always know card text reflexively on sight but this one, I know.

Wrote this on the board at work. Hopefully it's effective.
Little white board that says, "Ooh, you wanr physical media so bad -- ooh you don't want media literacy and reading comprehension to wither & die." Under it is a crudely drawn hypnotic circle. To the left is a drawn cat with glasses sitting on a stack of books and to the right is an alien saying "even aliens read".

if you see this, quote with an image from a game released in the year of your birth
box art for the msx release of Hydlide. It's a fairy flying above a fantastical vista around sunset. it's beautiful! a gameplay image of hydlide, the player faces slimes in a forest here. the vivid magenta UI frame around the gameplay screen is pretty prominent.

no, US. it's a larger model with an integrated s-pen bay and curved screen edge (none of which is likely contributing). mine is the ultra, in case that is contributing to the issue.

Galaxy s22 does it as well.

as someone who once had a multiple-pack-a-day trident habit you have my deepest sympathies

I'm doubtless going to play it for sure but what I genuinely really was cracked out of my mind for was for a new story following Durandal or like, a reimagining beginning with Aleph One and onward.

yes! 100%. however the sugar alcohols in some can cause gastric issues so as with all things, moderation is wise.

granted you have to go pretty hard on them to reach that point but you never know the devils someone is burdened by

the comments on this are all about the short battery life and, honestly, it's so true. my family picked up rechargeable battery packs that socketed into the existing battery bays and would predict the later form factor of handhelds like the steam deck. looked like these.

I'm chomping at the bit, foaming at the mouth for Olden Era now and candidly prior to your comments it was barely on my radar. I have enjoyed the newer titles but nothing comes close to 3, but ESPECIALLY 2, for me. So jazzed!

HOMM2 mentioned!! might this be *the best HoMM?*
kazuma.bsky.social
had the chance to sit down and play heroes of might and magic: olden era (will have something written up about it) but this is arguably the best iteration of the series since homm3 and i don't say that lightly. the difficulty curve is comparable to homm2 tho so expect to get your ass kicked lol

he's looking great but how handsome is that BRIGANDINE?

cubist headphones without the foundational practices that led to cubism in the first place. but yeah, that orange half, no juice there.
doomfunk.bsky.social
absolutely. it HAD juice - a kind of raw late 90s juice - and all the juice was left behind in the reinvention. it has less character than the Bose logo now, since Bose at least established identity.

I've been using audacity for a long, long time and the icon has never been good, but it was distinct. all of the individual character is lost in this transition. nothing of what it once was eemains, beyond the headphones

WHY DID THEY GENTRIFY THE AUDACITY LOGO
the regular audacity logo on the left (a waveform between two headphones) and the REAL NEW audacity logo on the right (flat style red headphones, where one of the headphones is a half-circle to fit with the rest of musehub's design Thing. It simultaneously looks extremely generic and like a sperm cell is flying out of a semicircle)
