hi, I'm Chris! I think a lot about storytelling, systemic interactions, and how tf i'm going to draw weirdly specific things. I'm currently working on some cool stuff. I'm open to doing some writing, artwork, or voice acting if you like how I do any or all of these things.

Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step.

1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish.

2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.

thought about this today. when i was in my 20s i was part of a psych study. most were recorded once or twice, i was asked back many times.

i was interacting with a low-herz digital gameplay environment measuring my reaction time, eye movement, and pulse.

which is to say: 30fps is all you need.

this really, really, really depends on the individual disposition of the dev in question and the discipline in which they work. even so, almost everybody i have worked with takes inspiration from outside media, it's just a matter of what.

being games-focused is usually a gameplay thing.
The author of the novels that inspired Shin Megami Tensei and Persona says developers should take more inspiration from other media to invent new gameplay systems.

If they only take inspiration from games they'll just make the same games, he says.

Fable dev team: Behold! After many years of work, we've crafted a beautiful, massive and detailed open-world, with over 1,000 NPCs who each have their own opinions of you, and you can entirely alter their individual lives in multiple ways!

Some gamers: Is it 30 FPS? Looks only 30 FPS.

There's *literally* no writer I've met who wants to outsource lore or world building.

Item descriptions, UI text, even dialogue, sure! But *world building*? That's your little sandbox, that's a lil reward for a whole day of writing barks
Heck, I need to tell new writers to stop focusing on lore!
Whenever I hear devs or other creatives who do worldbuilding say they *have* to use ch*tGPT to help with their lore bibles because no human could possibly collate such a huge and complex world… I glare in historian

they're doing the sequel to chakan: the forever man?????!!!!!!
There’s a video game announcement coming some time this year that I have not seen anyone even remotely touch on/guess/theorize about, and I think people are going to absolutely lose their minds. I have nothing to do with it, but am genuinely excited for it to be announced just to see the reactions.

a lot of what I'm doing these days is academic process experiments on my phone, synthesizing things i like doing into my way of doing things. a lot of this is me watching other artists work and going "oh cool, i could try that."

never assume their thing will work for you - but it's good to try.
