We know of 3 US citizen children deported yesterday, along with their moms who had been living in the US for years. One of the moms was pregnant. One of the kids has a rare form of cancer. One of the kids is just 2 years old. All had caregivers in the US to stay with.
#BREAKING: Yesterday morning, the NOLA ICE Field Office deported at least two families, including two mothers and their minor children – three of whom are U.S. citizen children aged 2, 4, and 7. One of the mothers is currently pregnant.

Side note: The typical American conservative discourse on disability is to try and carve out who is and isn't "really" disabled, who is and isn't deserving of any particular thing, to create categories of good and bad disabled. We can't let them do that, or at least, we can't help them do it.

I am autistic. I pay taxes, I have a job. I dated. I get the desire to push this narrative autistic people DO accomplish these to rebut Kennedy. But there was a time when I DID NOT have a job. And non-speaking autistic people or thise with intellectual disabilities don't. They have worth as well.

Universal right to counsel is something we on the left need to talk about more. It's just as important as universal healthcare - just like you don't choose to need Healthcare, you don't choose to get arrested or face eviction or foreclosure or bankruptcy or a debt collector or get sued or divorced.

I just learned that the entire press team at the FDA was fired last week. The *entire* press team.
It's difficult to grasp how bizarre this is.
To wrap my brain around the idea, I made a list of things the FDA is responsible for, and that reporters now have no one at the agency to ask about... 🧪🛟

Anyone with small kids-- I was able to get my 3-year-old her second MMR early (normally that's at age 4, but can happen early as long as it's at least 30 days after the first dose). IMO worth asking about/advocating for, given what's going on.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about how certain immigrants sent to El Salvador are not actually criminals and this is true but I would also like to remind you that people with criminal records shouldn’t be subjected to this, either.
