I haven’t seen a single masked healthcare worker in any of the multiple healthcare spaces I’ve been in in Indiana in years. It’s a real fucking shame how anti science creeped into the science community so easily in healthcare providers.

I was hospitalized overnight last week briefly and of the probably 20 people that worked on me. I would say maybe four or five wore a mask. These include paramedics, firefighters, and ER staff. 🙃

Given that a significant percentage of infectious covid cases are asymptomatic, a more effective policy is to just require (or at least strongly recommend) masking! You can't really know who's sick and who isn't by symptoms or self reports alone. health.clevelandclinic.org/asymptomatic...
What Is Asymptomatic COVID-19 and Are You Contagious?
An estimated 1 in 5 people infected with the coronavirus never develop symptoms. But they can still get you sick. Learn more about asymptomatic COVID-19 from an infectious disease specialist.

Patient came in with sore throat. While waiting for rapid Strep test result we glanced back at the Covid-19 RAT result: positive. Reminder that masking in health care makes sense, if you don’t want everyone in your waiting room to go home sick, your staff to get sick, and physicians to get sick.

Since they started charging for tests, ppl are not only NOT MASKING but they're also not testing.

But that doesn't make it go away 😭
I keep seeing posts about kids getting “weird colds” but it seems like the parents aren’t testing for COVID. The denial is maddening

Indeed and it doesn't hold any water whatsoever to claim that it stokes sectarian tension to protest outside of a place of worship but that it doesn't stoke sectarian tension to peddle occupied territory out to American citizens inside a place of worship. You can't exactly have it both ways.

It's a rule of restraint in the context of a pluralistic society though, not a judgment about whether selling stolen settlement land in a fucking synagogue is ok.

Yeah this is where I am. I think it's generally a bad can of worms we should not be opening, and to the extent we are, Jewish protestors going inside and disrupting this kind of horror within the sanctuary is a much better approach

The thing is that I'm temperamentally agreeable to the idea that you should avoid protesting places of worship altogether or to the best of your ability, but this is qualitatively different from claiming that there's nothing illegal or wrong being done when hosting an org that promotes settlement.
