I don't like to talk about stories before they are fully reported, but I am writing on ICE in a Minnesota town that isn't Minneapolis. However bad you think it is, it is worse. It is a campaign of pure terror whose only strategic goal is more terror. There is no strategy other than to break people.

day 4 of getting sober again. it’s been challenging because I think, “maybe I can drink normally. have a couple of drinks in the evening to relax. be able to imbibe socially.” but then I remember chugging 4 beers at 11AM & know it’s a lie.

I’m trying to set an example for my eight-year-old daughter. I wasted most of my life hating my body & self—& it benefits mediocre men for women like me to have low self-esteem. but I refuse to make my daughter watch me downplay my accomplishments & bow down to men like this.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.
