Earlier this year, Dr. Jane Goodall sat down for an interview for Brad Falchuk’s new Netflix series, Famous Last Words.

The premise of the series is to interview people on the condition that the interview not air until the subject has passed away.

happy sunday, remember that you are completely expendable to your employer and that when you die they will forget you ever existed within weeks and easily replace you
Work really hard and one day this can be you (followed by graffiti of a headstone that says “RIP worked really hard” on it

New argument against AI regulation just dropped. Checkmate, atheists.

For about a year now, Thiel has been publicly laying out his understanding of biblical prophecies and the potential for the rapid advance of technology to bring about an apocalyptic future.

In a lecture Monday, he encouraged an audience to continue working toward scientific progress, whether in AI or other forms of technology. Fearing or regulating it, or opposing technological progress, would hasten the coming of the Antichrist, Thiel said, according to people who attended.

One thing I'll say about DC not only canceling Red Hood, but recalling the first issue and refunding stores for buying it, is that you can still get Neil Gaiman's work through them. They still work with Otto Schmidt. Eddie Berganza worked there for years AFTER the formation of a policy that no women

For more than a year I’ve spoken with Scattered Spider “caller” Noah Urban from a Florida jail. I wanted to know how they chose victims, their methods and how Noah became entangled in a virtually and physically violent world.

We’re publishing his story today: www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...
‘I Was a Weird Kid’: Jailhouse Confessions of a Teen Hacker
Noah Urban’s role in the notorious Scattered Spider gang was talking people into unwittingly giving criminals access to sensitive computer systems.

Basically going through every larp I've played in the last 5 years and finding a list of generic effects. "Duration" and "Range" are defaulted, everything can be modified. I'm liking this so far.

I'm drafting up some new larp rules. This is the same larp where I've rewritten combat rules a dozen times now, and this one seems like a possible winner. I've got the non-combat rules down pretty solid (items, exploring, research, etc etc) and combat isn't a big focus, but this is a good balance.

The reaction to Kirk’s death by liberals truly shows how incapable they are of understanding that structural violence in the form of harassment, promoting laws, spewing hateful rhetoric, and making hit list very literally KILLS PEOPLE, and in high numbers. Kirk was a killer of hundreds to thousands

What we RRALLY should be doing is having hot swappable batteries. Pull into a gas station, the battery is removed and replaced with another one, and you drive off while the old battery charges for someone in an hour. (Issues with verifying battery integrity, weight of batteries, etc, but not bad)
