i don’t think it’s hyperbolic to put this ruling alongside plessy v ferguson (holding separate but equal is fine, actually) as one of the worst moments in the supreme court’s history.

the supreme court’s history is horrific so this is really saying something!

If and when America finds a way out of authoritarianism, not only will ICE have to be abolished: All these people will need to be held accountable in a court of law for the monstrosities they are committing - those who are ordering them as well as those who are carrying them out.

but, as Jews, we're not in the time of the Mishnah so I find that greeting a bit offputting. OTOH from non-Jews I find it charming. Anyway everyone's mileage varies. (I do like Gut yontev! as a greeting -which *is* pretty much Happy holiday!)
