Revolver is the last perfect Beatles album. They're a functioning unit. It's lean, irresistibly listenable, and experimental without feeling unfocused.

Heck -- after subjecting every candidate to all these fitness tests and ECGs and EEGs and body-fat evaluations to determine the candidate with optimal life expectancy, we probably won't even have time to ask where they stand on the issues!
Maybe we should measure each primary candidate against an actuarial table to determine who's least likely to die in office and nominate them.

Ooh! How about we only nominate elite athletes? Joel Embiid is in peak physical condition and the odds he'll die in the next 2 years are vanishingly low.

I guess my question to the anti-gerontocracy "age limit" crowd is what is the age limit? 70? 60? 50?

Should we consider other things? Black people have a lower life expectancy than white people; should we turn away black candidates? What about people with physical disabilities?
Janet Mills is 77 and Democrats need to knock it off with the gerontocracy.
Breaking News: Janet Mills, the Democratic governor of Maine, is running for Senate, aiming to unseat Senator Susan Collins, a Republican.

From anyone else this would read as embarrassing intellectual dishonesty, but Meghan McCain is so stupid she might genuinely not understand the contradiction.
This you? Just two hours later?

Sometimes one Fox talking head will say something so horrific that it cracks another's exterior, and for a second their face involuntarily emotes human empathy before they catch themselves and revert to soulless propagandist mode
Brian Kilmeade endorses euthanizing homeless people: "Involuntary lethal injection, or something. Just kill them."

Sure seems like Big Pharma spent way way more energy, money and lobbying capital on fighting Dems on prescription drugs than doing anything about the Secretary of HHS casually, and without any real evidence, telling everyone their products kill kids and give them autism.

Social media hasn't made all of us terrible people but I struggle to think of many who were made *better* by social media
Nate Silver was not "broken" by COVID... he spends insane amounts of time on social media, which has given him an insane ego and main character syndrome. Almost every large account on Twitter is a parody of what they were in 2016.

His account is just... This. It's a bunch of retweets and then this Biden fetish

There's no longer any explanation for this that doesn't involve a deeply personal vendetta against Joe Biden

Even for big corporations he's kinda been a mixed bag. They do have outsized influenced but it's not like tariffs have been a total home run for them.
The candidate I'm willing to support will say:

The problem is not big corporations. It's not "division." It's not any of those vague abstract enemies politicians throw out not to offend anyone. It's the GOP. It's your Republican neighbor. They may be good people, but they vote for evil

Everyday I think about how this guy personally is responsible for ruining the lives of millions of people around the country and world.

I earnestly believe MAGA conspiracy crackpots aren't against conspiratorial power-grabs in principle. They're just butthurt they aren't the ones leading those conspiracies to advance their agenda.

Classic Nietzschean slave morality. They have no principles -- they just want role reversal.
huh. Doesn’t sound conspiratorial when you are dealing with literal sociopaths, and hopefully people understand that one day, like you do

It's maddening to tell someone "I read on Vox the other day..." and have them mishear it as "Fox" and disregard everything you're about to say.

It’s the first week of school for many—a time that should be filled with joy, not grief.

Those children in Minnesota were at Mass when their lives were stolen.

My heart goes out to all impacted by this act of violence. Gun violence has no place in our schools, our churches, or our communities.

HT: Liberals say "history will not be kind to Trump," but I think he's positioned himself to pretty popular with the general public. Or at least not hated.

Andrew Jackson was a horrible president but men, especially, love him. That kind of macho mythmaking doesn't just vanish posthumously
