How learning handwriting trains the brain: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

"Research has consistently shown that handwriting is more challenging and stimulating to the brain than is typing."

Interesting. I LOVE writing. Often mapping ideas with a (too fancy) fountain pen my first step...
How learning handwriting trains the brain: the science behind the cursive wars
Handwriting requirements were cut from school curricula around the world. Now it’s looping back, riding on a wave of evidence.

Check out Justice Eddins’ complete repudiation of the Roberts Court here. It’s worth reading in full. It’s quite brave—and exceedingly rare—for a sitting judge to speak so candidly and scathingly about SCOTUS’ partisan contortions of law, history, and fact.

There is genuine mismanagement, and then there is Ford underfunding school boards and then blaming the trustees for not balancing their books (on the backs of special needs children primarily), and he doesn't differentiate between the two while he centralises authority over education.

"There's some good and there's some bad ones," the premier said Wednesday morning after an announcement in Caledon.

It’s about priorities.

During Covid, this was true. Since Covid, even more true. It’s a reflexive selfishness, a rejection of the social compact, of shared community and purpose, of citizenry, and often of reality.
Conservatism is fundamentally childish. “I don’t wanna and you can’t make me!”

“Anti-woke” is not a real thing.

It’s a euphemism for racism.

When you see someone described as “anti-woke,” just substitute the word “racist.”
