All I can say about Welcome to Derry is that it does feel like a real Stephen King work. If Mike Flanagan is able to replicate King at his sometimes bloated but earnest best, whoever is most responsible for this show is channeling King at his most coked up and cornball worst.

The criticisms of Metroid Prime 4 are hyperbolically harsh. Atrocious final boss aside, I quite enjoyed it. Retro could definitely stand to loosen the leash, though.

So, halfway through #Dispatch ... is it just me, or does Blonde Blazer suuuuuuck? I concede that inappropriate dynamics are just something you have to accept in workplace comedies, but even by that standard she behaves consistently and wildly inappropriately.

Wow, this woman has a ghoulishly cynical take on Holocaust education. "The Holocaust is taught solely to make people feel bad for Jews and has no other lessons" would be vile anti-Semitism in any other context.
I'm struck by this clip of former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz saying Holocaust education has backfired in part because people Palestinians as victims: "They think the lesson of the Holocaust is…you fight the big powerful people hurting the weak people."
