As the lyrics say - What needs must be, I realized, I'm walking out, From blackened skies.......What needs have been, You'll realize, I've found myself, In bluer skies
....Come find me

Video: a Japanese scientist was attacked by flies while giving the acceptance speech for his Ig Nobel Prize-winning research paper that proved painting Zebra-like stripes on cows led to a decrease in biting fly attacks.

I forgot that I had this made. As a prototype that never went into full production, it's the only one in existence and, therefore, highly desirable.

Let's start the bidding at £1,809, £1 for every day since the very first CBIAS.

For an extra 50%, you can have it signed by @martinjones.bsky.social.

Thinking we should make some monoclonal antibodies so wondering what experiences people have had with different companies, as it's not going to be cheap so want to get our moneys worth?

More reviewers means more headache right! @jcellsci.bsky.social we now only use 2 reviewers - this speeds up the time to the decision process, which we all want!
drmichaelway.bsky.social
Now isn't this just the best reason to accept to review JCS papers as well as our sister journals Development, Biology Open, DMM and J Experimental Biology!

Seeing proofs makes a paper seem more real as posting on BioRxiv although the right and important thing to do does somehow diminish the excitement of the process at the journals......of course it might just be me who thinks this but its important for knowing when you want to celebrate a paper!

Intrigued by avian left right symmetry breaking we found that a tissue-scale active torque drives chiral flow and requires mechanical coupling to the underlying tissue.
