BERMAN: Would it be legal for police in Arkansas to kill suspected drug dealers on a boat in a lake?

TOM COTTON: The premise of your question is not well-founded

BERMAN: The answer is no. It would not be legal to kill them.

I can't stop thinking about it either.

and the narrative shift reframing of it feels like a test case for further unfounded violence at home.
I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.

The challenge is that science always comes with a degree of uncertainty. But I would argue that--if the goal is to restore or even prevent further erosion of public trust in science and public health--then it would help if journalists report scientific consensus as settled truth, rather than hedge.

Find your local harm reduction or syringe services program-these mostly run on a shoestring budget & every dollar goes to people who desperately need care in all its forms. We use donations to buy outreach supplies for all our sites to supplement basic harm reduction materials.

Our economic system doesn’t work if 37% of people on food assistance are working full time. These companies are exploiting and stealing from their workers.
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

Good morning.

Last night was a referendum on Trump's corruption, cruelty, and chaos.

But it's also not a coincidence these big wins came at the exact moment when Democrats are using our power to stand for something and be strong.

A huge risk to not learn that lesson.
