I'm sure the conservative apparatus that complained about Minneapolis mayor using the F-Word will be livid about this.

The projection is real with that gaslighting line. We have eyes. She waved the intial car through AND the ICE car before they exited their vehicles and aggressively approached hers. And show us one tiny little scratch on this grown man that was hit by an imaginary car.
You can tell things are going well when the VP is tweeting through it.

Recovering in the hospital my ass. Sprinting away to hide like the fucking coward he is.
According to witnesses, this is the masked ICE agent who shot the driver in Minneapolis. He shot from the side into the vehicle.

This is him walking away from the crashed vehicle.

Shoutout to the Seton Hall station near us that plays hardcore rock like 90% of the time. 😀
I don't think about college very often, because I'm 37, but whenever I do I get pissed about them selling off our radio station. I will remain a Save KTRU absolutist until the day I die.
This sucks, and echoes many other recent examples of student-run college radio stations being dismantled and handed over to a local NPR affiliate.

In this case, the university's president is on the board of the media operator that they gave WCSB to.

We moved up to North Jersey from Florida in April and there are a ton more people still masking up here (which is not saying much since it's pretty much zero in Florida). So not sure why it's controversial since it seems pretty common up here?
1/2 As I wrote in The Viral Underclass, I hoped, at the high end, Covid could reorient our national priorities to create a new floor for the social safety net; at the low end, I hoped it would at least encourage common, free activities found in Asia, like masking when ill or during flu season.

Alas
Disappointed to see Jon Stewart & co joke about masking in public. I do it for my medically fragile daughter (Batten Disease). People not masking properly led to her getting pneumonia, which led to her being on life support, which led to me getting price quotes on her cremation just in case.

I've gotten some stupid grades in the past and I can't imagine reaching out the school president much less THE STATE GOVERNOR over it.
Another clip from that interview: she said that when she got the bad grade, two of the people she emailed included THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE and that Ryan Walters creep

I know there's a million things to dunk here, but do rich people get to bypass the primary care doc to specialist pipeline in the current state? 🫠
For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.

What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?

Who in the USA gov runs the program?

R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?

I'm going by what I was told in whiteashed American history growing up but per our own propaganda isn't 'the culture we are known for' being a meltingpot?
Rep. Kat Cammarck: "Today, one in six people in the US is foreign born. That quite frankly is not sustainable to maintain a culture that we are known for here in the United States."

Unless someone was legit abhorrent (like the one racist Uber driver we had once) I answer every survey and rating option to give service workers the best possible ratings because it's so disgusting and you know they're tying bonuses/pay to it.
This also places unreasonable, unlivable pressure on service workers, as does being surveilled on social media. People are not at their best at every moment. They get terse, they don’t smile, they act rushed. They might even be slightly impatient or impolite! None of this requires tattling.
I think businesses asking people to rate every single experience has furthered this damage. We shouldn't have this many opinions about this many things, and we certainly shouldn't expect other busy people to care if we do.

What is wrong with people? AI is going to change the world not because it's great but because it really just saps right into the brain rot of private equity people.
I have expertise in both the technical and ethical aspects of clinical AI, so one of my most frequent refrains is that we need to separately address questions of "can we?" and "should we?"

Anyway, absolutely not.
