I don’t understand this. All it does is confirm that politics and theater are becoming indistinguishable. An appropriate official of the city should be doing this. 🤦‍♂️
Senator Bernie Sanders will administer the oath of office to New York City’s Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani during his public swearing-in ceremony at City Hall on January 1. trib.al/ylTzosO

Imagine interviewing a victim of torture and independently confirming the details of his torture and then being told you can’t broadcast it because the people who ordered the torture wouldn’t give their side of the story.

I often turn off spell check and almost never use autocomplete.

Autocomplete sometimes speeds up typing on a phone, but mostly they both slow down my writing, editing, and proofreading.

AI can make a bad writer look competent, but it cannot make a good writer look great.
I mean, the thing is, and I keep telling people this, I am SUPER lazy, so why would I learn how to prompt "AI" to write in a non-"AI" way when I can just naturally write in an engaging, human style? I doubt there is ever going to be a point where adding "AI" to the mix isn't just extra work for me.
I just saw a great take on writers using "AI" - people don't like to read something that's clearly written by "AI", so we need to respect that and make sure it seems natural.

So...put as much effort into tricking people into thinking we made an effort as we would into actually writing. Outstanding.

Complaining that someone published what you said is like complaining that a whistleblower exposed your fraud.

The problem is that you’re not bothered by the truth.

You’re bothered that other people found out.

For a group of people who are keenly aware when they are under oath, Republicans are really bad at knowing when they’re on the record.

One wonders how the Charlie Kirk crowd feels about this.
Trump doubles down on his Rob Reiner attack: "I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person... He became like a deranged person, Trump Derangement Syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country."

Fernando who? #GoBears

No, seriously, this #Cal alum is happy for him.

Winning the #Heisman seems almost worth transferring away from the number one public university.

Almost.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Giving illegal orders may not be a problem for the President, as the President is immune from prosecution for things done while executing official duties.

That does not, however, make illegal orders legal.
