French president Emmanuel Macron isn’t taking any shit from Trump.

“We prefer the rule of law to brutality,” said Macron, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos. He said neither France nor Europe is going to cave into bullies; to do so, he said, would lead to “vassalization”.
After Trump salvo, Macron says: we don't give in to bullies
In a scathing criticism of US President Donald Trump's latest tariff threat, French President Emmanuel Macron said Europe would not be intimidated.

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

One thing we can be sure of is that homeland security secretary Kristi Noem was lying when she described the poet and mother-of-three Renée Nicole Good as a “domestic terrorist”.
‘Poet, writer, wife, mom’: who was Renee Nicole Macklin Good, the woman killed by an ICE agent?
Macklin Good, 37, had moved to Minneapolis last year from Missouri, loved to sing and won an award for her poetry

Saw this on X.

Merlin Strategy, run by Scarlet Maguire (formerly of JL Partners) is Farage's favoured polling company. Until very recently, registered at the same address as the Brexit Party's old one.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

The White House has been caught.

The administration inserted a photo of Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and Diana Ross into the Epstein files and falsely implied it showed them with victims.

In reality, it’s a publicly available fundraiser photo featuring Jackson and Ross’s own children.

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

Many of Cambridgeshire’s new developments have required mature tree to be removed.

The Woodland Trust are giving thousands of saplings away to schools, councils, clubs and community groups to help make a greener future. Hopefully these will have a better future...
What about new forests, then?
Is “forest” the new “sustainability”? just another catchword, to sell mass commercial development to a sceptical local population?
