These doctors know that. The fact that they are spinning it anyway is disgusting. It is the same kind of opportunism we have seen throughout history, with morally hollow professionals willing to serve power rather than truth.

recommend against routine PSA screening in men over 70 because the risks of overdiagnosis and overtreatment outweigh the benefits. Even if screening were done, it doesn’t guarantee a diagnosis. False negatives happen. Many prostate cancers grow slowly and remain asymptomatic for years.

We are living in the theater of the absurd. Any physician pushing the line that Biden must have known about his prostate cancer is being reckless or worse, complicit in spreading MAGA propaganda. Prostate cancer often progresses silently, and current evidence-based guidelines specifically

It is disgusting; the news outlets including the NYT, are quoting oncologists stating given the ongoing tests a president receives, it’s unlikely President Biden wasn't aware of the cancer diagnosis when he was in office.

Pardon our French, that’s bullshit.

Seeing patients in clinic who can’t get vaccinated while their families desperately try to keep them safe amidst a measles outbreak in Michigan is too much.

For the love of herd immunity, get your effing vaccines if you can.

I'm going to say this every time I see news about whooping cough: babies who get this break their ribs from coughing. Babies who survive can have brain damage. Get vaccinated. Wear a mask. Please.
Pertussis cases are up 1500% since 2021 due to declining vaccinations & there were at least a dozen deaths in the US last year.

Over 700 cases & multiple measles deaths already this year.

These are preventable diseases that no one should get let alone die from.

And lead is an even bigger problem when combined with iron deficiency, which is COMMON (tinyurl.com/JAMAFe)

Iron deficiency increases lead absorption
Lead decreases iron absorption and iron utilization.

And the same kids are often at risk for both.

A vicious cycle.

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.
