Science isn’t static. Our last Ode to #NationalFoodDay is a great example of this. We used to tell parents to avoid peanuts. Then new research showed early exposure prevents allergy, which has likely saved thousands of kids from developing peanut allergies. 🥜💡

Reversing peanut advice prevented tens of thousands of allergy cases, researchers say
A decade ago, research said giving young children peanut products can prevent allergies. A new study says that, 10 years later, tens of thousands of U.S. children have avoided allergies as a result.

It has taken medical science 200 years to advance humans to the point where people are so healthy and living so long that they can deny that science and medicine is what got us here.

Globally, roughly a third more power is being generated from the sun this spring than last. If this exponential rate of growth can continue, we will soon live in a very different world, @billmckibben.bsky.social writes.
4.6 Billion Years On, the Sun Is Having a Moment
In the past two years, without much notice, solar power has begun to truly transform the world’s energy system.

Kennedy’s ACIP 2.0 is as expected. Headlined by charlatans that have nothing to lose and will rubber stamp ludicrous policies.

I strongly urge my fellow healthcare providers to speak up and be unafraid. We must ensure there is accountability through collective action.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

During the rollout of the COVID vaccines, the lack of testing - combined with a raft of misinformation - led many pregnant women to not get vaccinated.

@propublica.org wrote this in 2022, but it's just as relevant now with RFK Jr's CDC changing recommendations for the vaccine.
“God, No, Not Another Case.” COVID-Related Stillbirths Didn’t Have to Happen.
A lack of testing data and government guidance led many to avoid the COVID-19 vaccine during pregnancy, unwittingly increasing their chances of a stillbirth.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Watch him squirm as she **exposes his dangerous lies**—this is a must-watch.
