So, apparently Bluesky PERMANENTLY banned someone for posting a single Charlie Kirk meme.

AJ is a fantastic community builder who had a big account & is an adjunct prof at Howard University. The idea that he doesn't even deserve a first warning is absurd.

Unfortunate update: Link reached out to BlueSky and got email back now on reason.

His appeal is denied. He will remain permanently banned on BlueSky’s side.

Here are the screenshots he just sent me as of 8:22 AM EST(my time)

BlueSky does not currently have advertising or any real monetization. Doing a boycott/blackout will have absolutely no impact on them due to this, other than users who would be impacted by the censoring doing the work for them.

The real way to impact would be to post more. Trend. Make them moderate

I once wrote a business application (around 10 ish? years ago) that received emails from a gmail inbox and did some one-off processing with them. I used POP3 because it was more straightforward when you only need to process the emails once and then forget about them.
