John McClane in his signature blue jacket (?) and green cargo pants (!?) running through an office corridor with his famous blonde female partner Kris Thompsen (?!?) in her cool white and red jacket and purple pants, doing whatever is they both do in that movie. John, being pissed off for having lost his blue jacket arrives at a large parking lot with some thugs loitering at the disabled parking spot, pulls out his gun and drops one of the fools on the spot. Oh wait, there are terrorists in the building? I don't think McClane's been informed of the situation yet. A closeup of the terrorist leader Wolf "White Fang" Hongo, a suave man wearing a bright purple shirt and purple necktie, sitting on a comfy office chair and talking on a walkie-talkie and ordering his henchmen to find the president's daughter. He looks remarkably like Billy Mitchell (gamer) if he was older and had a white beard and long bald man mullet, a skullet if you will. I wrote "Billy Mitchell (gamer)" because that's how Wikipedia refers to him. Billy Mitchell (asshole) might be more apt. Mr. Hongo is putting his feet up on a big presidential desk in a comfy presidential chair, talking to his subordinates over the wire while looking at a massive portrait of what I can only describe as Dr. Robotnik if he was a politician. What ol' White Fang doesn't realize is: 1. The president's daughter has been hiding in the desk cabinet this whole time. 2. She's got a very small face like a chihuahua. 3. She's just as tiny as a chihuahua.

CRT screenies of an unreleased Battletech game for Mega/Sega-CD that I just had a tinker around with: Gray Death Legion.

Due to be released in 1995 and developed by Absolute Entertainment, this would have been a first-person arcade sim similar to the Super Nintendo BT/Mechwarrior game.
A snap of the richly detailed cockpit, all greenish and techie, with a cool rotating radar, with a burning hot desert world outside. Our mech's guns are blazing as another opens fire at us. A snap from another part of the rolling demo showing a tactical map with waypoints and objective markers, shown in an in-universe analogue techie way. A cool hub base star map of a star system with orbital rings and planets. Another cockpit shot, very cool stuff

Obsessed with the new #frontmission3 remake!! Modern OST not too bad either but original OST is selectable :) Only criticism is poor sound compared to the OG, and awful ai upscaling.

A 1989 ad from Japan for Phantasy Star II, an RPG for the Sega Mega Drive

Teasing its anticipated March release, the ad hypes the game's much larger scope in mentioning its "6 mega" size (in megabits) which, at the time, made it the largest game available on "game machines" like Sega's console.
The ad also shows off a few more Mega Drive games along the bottom of the page with screenshots. From left to right, the games shown are: * Alex Kid in the Enchanted Castle * Osomatsu-kun: Hachamecha Gekijo * Altered Beast * Space Harrier II * Super Thunder Blade More games are promised in the future such as Super Hang-On and Rambo III! In the lower left, the Sega Mega Drive is shown off with three key points listed emphasizing its advanced visuals, 16-bit power, and FM sound. Phantasy Star II's 6 megabit size was a first for console games as well as the first RPG for Sega's new 16-bit console. In the years since, it has been heralded as a "landmark" title in raising expectations for what an RPG could be on a home console like the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis with its 16-bit visuals, strong story, and sci-fi themes.
