Oh dear! Edinburgh Airport seems to have forgotten spellcheck in its upgrade of this fantastic Carneg(g)ie quotation to welcome visitors?

Hands up. I was wrong. I had thought Edinburgh’s road surfaces couldn’t get any worse. #Edinburgh

Went to check if this screenshot (posted by @aric.bsky.social) was real (it is) and then made the mistake of also scrolling through Grok's replies on X. Still constantly cranking out sexualised images of young girls. Beyond bleak.

It might be a very cold January but I’ve noticed gorse is in bloom at various places. Pic taken today #Edinburgh

Just realised the bird feeder isn’t being emptied because there’s a Sparrow Hawk in the garden.

⚠️ Serious incident at Threipmuir Reservoir today. A person entered the ice to rescue a dog that fell through. Thankfully they returned safely, but the dog was not recovered. Frozen reservoirs are dangerous—please keep safe in the Pentland Hills this winter.

Scott McTominay is currently sitting in second place. Any votes to help it win Front Page of the Year would be massively appreciated

Just a reminder to folk visiting Edinburgh next year please try your best to boycott the Elephant House. It's gone from a nice normal cafe with views of the castle to a mad tourist trap with a giant picture of Jakey R on the wall. It's like if everything wrong with Edinburgh's tourism was a cafe

Must say that the phrase ‘copy and paste sheep corporations’ referring to chain coffee shops in Edinburgh did make me laugh. Painfully accurate.

Edinburgh to Leith via the Water of Leith. Best winter walks UK ending at a cosy pub.

ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Nobles is now Bellfield Leith, and the transition is a sensitive one. This gorgeous pub keeps its historic charm but adds a fantastic beer selection. A look back at when I visited on Day One for the Bia burger pop-up.
Review: Nobles by Bellfield, a worthy successor to Leith's Nobles - Edinburgh Reviews
Bellfield takes over Leith's iconic Nobles bar, and it's a triumph. The stunning brass and stained-glass interior is safe, now with Bellfield's (gluten-free!) craft beer on tap. Guest kitchen Bia provided delicious burgers on a buzzing, dog-friendly opening night.
