This thread sums up my own despair but I also see no path here that does not also spur significant public and govt violence. We're putting millions of ppl in positions of either utter despair or in self-imagined vigilante roles, and Congress has very little time left to defuse that bomb.
If & when the “let them enforce it” Rubicon is crossed, I have trouble seeing a plausible chain of events that doesn’t conclude with either Trump’s forcible removal or acquiescence to openly lawless autocratic rule, & either one is basically the end of anything resembling normal liberal democracy.

Someone I know said “I’d rather have another Civil War than another Holocaust” and that statement has been haunting me for the past week.

I just wanted to clarify that there are other healthcare data analysts/researchers/etc who are working on similar data archiving projects as well. None of this should be necessary, but here we are.
