Hi, fellow faculty teaching undergrads. As we are getting into law school application season, please encourage your students to interact with good data sources. Steer them away from USNWR. They should instead be doing comparisons through lawschooltransparency.com.

I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

The #1 way to explain America working properly is by saying “comedians can make fun of he President on TV.” A good way to explain fascism is “the President forces companies to fire those comedians as a condition of allowing them to conduct business.”

Happy Mother’s Day.
This is a flower I saw yesterday on a hike; it reminded me of the strength of beautiful things even in harsh, inhospitable environments. Shine on, my friends. Radiate. Resist.

First they came for undocumented people, and no one spoke up

Then they came for people on tourist visas and student visas

Then they came for legal permanent residents

Now they are detaining U.S. citizens with no warrants and no due process

Who will speak up now?

I could not be more proud to say that I am a WilmerHale alum. I joined what became WilmerHale in Boston in the late 90s. The fact that this firm has its foundations in Boston is meaningful. We don't do Kings in Boston and we don't tolerate government interference into the things we hold most dear.
