I'm not a UX engineer, but I do feel like it's a no brainer that if I delete a suggestion made by autocorrect and proceed to retype with what I had typed originally, it should not autocorrect it again.

I knew it was a bad idea programming a gameboy emulator in Typescript of all languages, it's been 'interesting' to say the least, but now I fell committed, even though I want to curse at my types every 5 seconds.
