Wife and I managed to get the trees up! Better late than never. (There are only two — one real, one fake - just multiple photos. The one in the dining room changes between white and color). We’ll see if the outside happens this week…

I was chosen as employee of the year (with someone else) at our work holiday party today. A few people nominated me. I’m honestly shocked because I haven’t been there a full year yet (mid-February), and I’m fairly quiet. 1/2

Finished the old AMT/Ertel P-40E kit tonight. Terrible kit, but got there in the end. Added Eduard etch, resin exhausts, wheels, and metal barrels — and a lot of super glue and putty. This also officially marks the point where I need to find another display cabinet. 🫣 #scalemodeling

Finished the old AMT/Ertel P-40E kit tonight. Terrible kit, but got there in the end. Added Eduard etch, resin exhausts, wheels, and metal barrels — and a lot of super glue and putty. This also officially marks the point where I need to find another display cabinet. 🫣 #scalemodeling
First day back in the office since the election (was WFH since then). Feels different in NoVa - can’t really explain it. It was only a week ago, but it feels like a month.

This is why most (nearly all) unsolicited sales emails meet my Outlook block button. Unsolicited phone calls are also not answered. (Ok - I’ll admit - I’m a millennial - phone calls in general are not answered unless it’s 1 of about 5 people, or I’m expecting a specific call).
This asshole keeps coming back for more and I think I may need to make him into a project

Leaving/deleting Twitter this morning kind of reminds me of the day in 2017 when AIM stopped working. A sad end of an era, for me, and for many.

Trying to follow/find fellow model builders on here. Here’s what’s on my bench right now — GWH 1/48 TBD-1. Eduard etch, Eduard’s Mk-13 torpedo; plus some scratch building and self 3D printed stuff (the missing radios, and the fire extinguisher after I melted the kit one 😂). I love AK’s wood decal!
