What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Completely agree. Sure, Americans voted this guy in but the Republicans in Congress are the reason Trump and his cronies are in office and destroying our democracy. And SCOTUS is an accomplice.

The richest family in the United States, the Waltons, made money by not paying Walmart employees enough. This forced employees to seek government assistance for food and healthcare.

Republicans’ response is to take away that assistance because the Waltons aren’t rich enough.

Every reporter’s follow-up question to every Republican’s statement should be “Why are you lying about this?”

Trump treats immigrants from Mexico and Central and South America worse than we treated Germans and Japanese subject to the Alien Enemies Act in World War II. He is a monster, not just a tyrant.

If it’s not classified: release it all. Goldberg should publish it. They’ve said it’s not classified. Ok then. Let’s stick it in bright daylight.

This Paul Weiss capitulation is the most disgraceful action by a major law firm in my lifetime, so appalling that I couldn’t believe it at first.

Any lawyers at that firm—partners or associates—who don’t promptly resign will defile their moral and professional reputations beyond repair.

This is one of the saddest capitulations I have ever seen. A law firm honored for its bravery has more than bent the knee and kissed the ring: it has paid the ransom demanded by Trump.

Law Firm Bends in Face of Trump Demands
Paul, Weiss — one of three law firms targeted by President Trump as part of his retribution campaign — said it resolved the conflict by agreeing to a range of commitments.

Well, Kirsten, you shouldn’t have empowered Trump by voting for the CR. Just sayin’.

Trump today suggested it was dangerous for judges to issue court orders against his illegal firing of federal workers.

But it will be far more dangerous – for our country and our democracy – for him to ignore them.

Welcome to autocracy. The Republic we have known for the last 240 years is gone. This is going to keep getting worse. Much worse. The courts mean nothing, the law means nothing, Congress is irrelevant. He is a malignant psychopath.

If you let the executive deport people to a foreign gulag just by pronouncing the word “terrorism,” then expect to be called a “terrorist” soon yourself.

It is one thing to watch a dictator grab power.

It is another to hand it to him.

I’m headed to the Senate floor now.

To cast an emphatic “no.”

Non-Jews determining who is and is not a Jew is a story we’ve all seen before and it does not end well.
Trump: "Schumer is a Palestinian as far as I'm concerned. He's become a Palestinian. He used to be Jewish. He's not Jewish anymore. He's a Palestinian."

It’s totally unacceptable, Elon Musk is giving Trump political operation ANOTHER $100 million as he giggles with a chain saw and cuts staff, veterans, and needed services.

This is NOT what our founding fathers envisioned, an oligarchy in all but name.

Donold is now classifying protests at Tesla dealerships as ‘domestic terrorism.’

Protest at a Tesla dealership and you get arrested as a terrorist.

But attack the Capitol and you get a pardon.

1/ This is wildly illegal. That is not a question on which reasonable legally informed folks can disagree.

It doesn't fucking matter that he ran on doing illegal things. They are still illegal.

And striking at Congress's power of the purse is worse than illegal. It's anti-constitutional.
