There's no "training" to "reform" this culture of violence and impunity, the only solution is to eliminate the agency and fire everyone associated.

Before someone whines "but but you need immigration enforcement" okay explain to me exactly how this is "immigration enforcement." It's just thuggery.

There's A LOT going on right now in struggle b/w democracy & authoritarianism, so it's hard to keep up. But it's going to be REALLY important that we pay attention to (and keep pushing back against) how election lies (from 2020) are being mobilized in ways that threaten election integrity in 2026.

The post contains the DOJ’s own “use of force” policy — which is where any analysis should begin.

Also, the point that the agent was still recording while firing with one-hand has been underreported.
I wrote up my analysis of what Ross's movements and actions reveal about whether or not he had a "reasonable belief that he was in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury" (the legal standard). I list 7 crucial moments that suggest he did not. asharangappa.substack.com/p/friday-rou...

EXACTLY THIS! Throughout American history, the biggest opportunities for short-term systemic positive change came amidst crises spurred by fascist overreach.

When the bad status quo from calm times is completely upended, ordinary people become much more open to systemic democratizing change.
