62 years ago, on the 18th of October 1963, Félicette became the first cat to be launched into space. Biological data was collected and although Félicette survived, she was euthanized two months later so her brain could be studied. She remains the only cat to have ever been to space. #otd #history 🗃️

It's been a hard two weeks. Our lovely tortie suddenly got sick with cancer and had to be put down today at home. This photo was from earlier today. She was a wonderful friend and we tried to make her last day as calm and happy as we could. The vet who assisted her was a true gift. I'm just so sad.

My Moo Moo, the last founding member of the cat ranch, 🐈⬛️ crossed OTRB 🌈 early this morning. It's the end of an era. He was 10 years old. I'm taking off from #Bluesky today, but I'll be back. The cat ranch will go on. #CatsOfBlueSky #CatsAreFamily
