Founders on LinkedIn still seem to be struggling with the difference between telling people about their humble beginnings and admitting to straight up committing fraud.

Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

Passed up for another job. This one was hard, it basically seemed like my perfect next job even if it was only a 12 month contract.
Shit is HARD right now. After nearly 3 months of job hunting I've landed a total of 2 interviews... (2nd ones not included). It's like 2009 again.

Some recruiters really need to know the line between "being encouraging" Vs "getting your hopes up"

I think my generation (millennials) lost the art of "popping in". I see people sharing photos of their day out somewhere that's relatively near us and I'm like "hey you could have popped in and said hi even if it's just long enough to have a brew!"
Or is this just my friends/ family?

Whoa it's almost like this entire cultural movement is based on fake bullshit at every level and our leaders should stop letting fucking social media dictate policy
Twitter had to turn off its location feature within hours because thousands of prominent and "verified" MAGA accounts turned out to be foreign and I think it's hilarious that Elon was the one who exposed them all

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Spending hours gaming is better for your mental health than hours of doom scrolling through social media. Games give you critical thinking, strategy, stories, goals and actual dopamine, as opposed to anxiety.

Important update: I have received word from insiders that Crunchyroll executives have deemed the user backlash to be small enough that their subtitle enshittification & OOONA plans will NOT be cancelled, only delayed.

I have added an update to the article. There's a summary at the top now too.
New article on ★ daiz.moe

Crunchyroll is destroying its subtitles for no good reason
daiz.moe/crunchyroll-...

A ton of research and effort went into this one. This is the article to read to get to the bottom of Crunchyroll's subtitle changes!

Replies here will show up as comments (eventually)
Crunchyroll is destroying its subtitles for no good reason | Daiz.moe
With the Fall 2025 anime season, Crunchyroll demonstrates zero respect for anime as a medium as the presentation quality of its subtitles reach an all-time low.

I have avoided social events because I would be around people with living and happy parents. At the time the jealousy and anger would have made me a shit guest.
I'd have no problem (or less anyway) now. Sometimes you just need the time.

Just had to point out to this guy that you can't "collab" with AI. It's not a fucking person. 🤦‍♀️

Nuanced take, I see the downside here RE cost (DIY is defs cheaper) but the more avenues for care in the UK + the more people publicly pushing for it, the better IMO. Hope it helps some folks. Based of Jude to put her own money behind it for no profit too, she’s a sweet l’il motherrfuckuerr 🫡

You know what new mothers need? Physical help! You know what they don't need? Emotional manipulation!

If anyone tried to give me a fake version of my dead dad I would be insanely insulted and I'd probably have to restart grief counselling.
New insult to life itself just dropped

The anti-trans movement is from the top down is, to put it delicately, rife with nonces and child abusers, and it's exasperating how it's ignored. I'd detail some of the shit these anti-trans ideologues are involved with, but it would make me want to claw my own eyes out before I got half way done.
As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Anyone else think modern culture has invented an insane amount of reasons to buy presents?
Christmas eve boxes, Easter baskets, Halloween presents (this might just be someone I know) and about a million wedding related ones.

one of the biggest contributors to Elon’s loser energy is that he desperately wants to be cool, but doesn’t understand that a big part of being cool is appearing unaffected. he’s one of the most affected men of all time.

Need to work my way up to being the boss of somewhere so I can ban the use of voice notes.
Sending a voice message to a colleague should be a sackable offence tbh.

LSE researchers say Gen Alpha will talk, not type at work—they predict that voice notes will make keyboard practically obsolete by 2030.

Love that the Total Jobs website just decides to not work all the time. Click "apply" and then get an "oopsy *that's*! not supposed to happen" page because it didn't load.
Brilliant. Thanks.

I've had fun rereading Stormlight Archive this year but I cannot explain how excited I will be to be done because it frees up so much time for more books.

I'm 3,300 pages down, aiming for another 1,200 before the end of the year.
Think how many books I can read with that time next year!

Job hunting is always soul sucking but this time around it feels especially so. Juggling the need for flexibility now I have a 1 year old with me trying to avoid social media specific roles, at a time where the job market is especially slow... Has been pretty damn awful.

I've been getting back into the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series after many years, and the most relatable part is how everyday objects like doors and elevators have been imbued with artificial intelligence and it just makes them obnoxious and frustrating to use and everyone hates it.
