First instituted in 1908 in a Canadian town: Port Arthur, Ontario.
One of the main ideas was to save coal during WW1.
Canada started it…I propose we end it. The sun goes down too late in summer, and waaaay too early in fall and winter.

The big reveal is that this - what you’re seeing right now - is in fact *exactly* how businesses are run; chaotically and at the whims of sociopaths who think they know everything, actually know nothing, and run away with a golden parachute to leave others to clean up their mess.
People constantly claim that the appeal of Republicans is that they are ‘successful’ businesspeople who will “run the country like a business”, but in reality they’re so incompetent at even the most basic tasks that they can’t even prepare a legally-mandated budget request on time.

The removal of screen doors from the Bloor Yonge Expansion is so typically small minded and sadly part of a pattern with the TTC / City of cutting critical elements from projects despite having loads of capital dollars and constantly complaining about operating dollars.
