Etymology is interesting even for recent terms. When did the world forget that “meme” came from the phrase: me too! Like kid yelling: me me. Expressed: Me x2. As in: I wanna also. How did that disappear?

People were obsessed with the rapture happening; when called by their god they expected to drop clothes. But logically speaking; if you don’t bring anything with you - anything in your stomach and bowels were not going either. They should have stood in bags for us left here.

Just found out from my niece that there is a perfect thing - corned beef eggroll. I decided if I could live on these things I would. Death would follow fast if I did, but it wouldn’t be much of a life without a few of them.

It’s our 10 year wedding anniversary today. Been with my amazing partner for 12 years. Communication made this all work. We had pizza at our wedding. She wore a cape; I wore a space captain’s coat; she vowed stuff, I made no vows, despite this we are still together. Take that, trad-wedding fiends!

It glorifies overwork and isolation. You know what's gonna help you make better art? Healthy work life balance, plethora of life experiences to draw from, a wide array of interests. You do not have to let a job consume you to be good at it

On that same note: it’s incredibly annoying when I’m reading an article and then have to scroll down a tiny bit and the banner for the website slides down covering what I wanted to read and I have to scroll up to get the banner out of the way and then Ive scrolled back past what I wanted to read.

I wouldn’t give up my iPhone for android normally, but even more so since it has the: Hide Distracting Items, on the safari browser. Nothing brings me more joy than nuking those things on a website that pop over my text or play a video I can’t scroll away from. It’s bliss. It’s so easy to do.

The world is a conveyor belt. It spans in all directions. Except for one. It's been easy to put distance between myself and the edge of the cliff. I've used that time to explore the expanse. But it just goes on forever and it all leads to the same place. I have become intimately familiar with the touch of the conveyor. Which is how I know it's getting faster. Day by day, incrementally, infinitessimally so. But still it gets faster and every day I get a little weaker.

My body is empty, but still I move. Doctors gave up on trying to figure out how I was alive. All my life I had been very isolated. My parents thought I was a demon. But the birds did not. Generations of avian pals have used my body for shelter and comfort. Weighing my feet down are the shiny objects they bring as tribute. People who used to bully me now leave me alone. I am always pregnant. I am always glowing.

Every night, the other man leave my body. The boundaries of his world are small. Limited to the walls of my apartment. He resents me because he believes I am the one trapping him. And so he tries to choke me but he is intangible. He paces around his tiny patch of earth. He contemplates the moment of ecstasy when he finally kills me. He impotently paws at knife handles. But every night, he is defeated. Unable to overcome his own powerlessness. And every morning I wake up.

I like to sleep with the window open in winter. I pretend that the enclosed heat space under my blankets is a vaulted dome. And an ecosystem of creatures springs up overnight. They thrive off my body's warmth. And for once, I am useful.
