Instead of asking the Speaker of the House if he has a view on <critical separation-of-powers QOTD>, maybe reporters should start asking him if he reads any newspapers or otherwise informs himself on those matters to which we might think the Speaker of the House ought to be paying attention?
RAJU: Last week you were very critical of Biden's use of the autopen. But Trump admitted on 60 Minutes to not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire who pleaded guilty to money laundering. Does that also concern you?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know anything about that. I didn't see it. I'm not sure.

Either Mike Johnson doesn't read the news or he's lying.

He should read this story about a 10 year old US citizen with brain cancer who you and Trump deported away from her doctors.

This is what your "mass deportations" are doing.

One side posted that they don't like white supremacists or Christian nationalists.

The other side is threatening to kill people because they said they don't like white supremacists and Christian nationalists.

Stop pretending domestic terrorists and the people they terrorize are the same.

if ones words are repeated and they are viewed unfavorably that is not a reflection of the one who repeats

it is a reflection of the author

While prestige journalists fell over themselves to report instances of left-wing cancel culture in the 2010s, the Right is currently firing university professors for their speech—and unlike the left, they’re using government informers to do so. From @ryanlcooper.com:

One single billionaire being liquidated could stop this problem for hundreds of thousands in its tracks. End it. Forever.
They could even keep an absurd amount of that money and still live like kings while alleviating these nights of pain from sooooo many people. It's insane we can make that happen.

Something the Mamdani win demonstrates is the extent to which the reigning cadre of ancient, establishment, centrist Dems think it’s more important to be on good terms with their GOP colleagues than it is to represent their own voters, and how thoroughly sick of this literally everyone is.

Sometimes, and routinely, men and women are capable of being governed by more than self-interest. Go figure.
