OK, so maybe a Nobel Ceasefire Prize, after all? But a very gold and shiny one. And need to do it fast, before we have to bomb again the nuclear program that just got forever obliterated

It's much worse than that (but has a LinkedIn feel to it). It's all so naive and cringeworthy and I can't take any more of the schmoozing & massaging of Trump's ego by Rutte, Starmer and Merz. They really need to work on their messaging skills, among others

I can't take any more of this, it's so embarrassing

A #NATO spokesperson confirms the #Trump screenshots of #Rutte’s messages are indeed genuine and “sent earlier today”.

What a time to be alive. The president of the United States doing battle damage assessment via sketchy OSINT accounts. I had blocked this particular account some time ago.

Correct. When Trump withdrew from the JCPOA in May 2018, he made it the policy of the United States that every country should have an active nuclear weapons program.

Today he made it clear they need to develop functional nuclear weapons as soon as possible. Nothing else can prevent a U.S. attack.

Among many other things this is a proliferation nightmare. The lesson learned will be never negotiate with the United States.

This is a wellbeing room in my university.
A tiny room with no windows and overhead lighting, which is probably fluorescent. It has one black pleather reclining chair, three blue fabric corporate type chairs with wooden arms, and a white laminate round table with metal legs. All the furniture is shoved up against the walls. There is a white plastic casing around the walls around 3 feet high with several plug and ethernet sockets. The floor is shiny and dark grey. There is literally nothing else in the room. No natural light. Looks shit, frankly.

Trump’s Memorandum Authorizing Military Domestic Deployment
"The Memorandum ... raises many of the same concerns as an Insurrection Act invocation would, and that could end up looking quite similar in practice."

"The real threat posed by generative AI is not that it will eliminate work on a mass scale, rendering human labour obsolete. It is that, left unchecked, it will continue to transform work in ways that deepen precarity, intensify surveillance, and widen existing inequalities."
Is the AI Bubble About to Burst? | Verso Books
In the years since Automation and the Future of Work first appeared, a new wave of technological enthusiasm has swept across the popular imagination. The catalyst this time has been the rapid advances in generative artificial intelligence, spearheaded by companies like OpenAI, Google DeepMind, and Meta. Once again, a c
