I dont care how good your perfume smells to you, its giving me splitting headaches that last the entire rest of the day even though you were only in the shop for about 5 minutes

Good morning, I have figured out why my pain is as bad as it is. It's my mattress. On a different mattress? The pain was still a bit there on bad days but faded as the day went on. On my mattress, on a bad day? Way more severe. Need a cane. Nearly in tears. Dammit.

Indeed! But even better they actually worked out a way to safely use pins!
That was down to Francine Burris who ran one of the shops. She got EVERYONE a set of pins colour-coded to them.
Made it easy to both count yourself AND others to check/track missing ones in QA.

Indeed! But even better they actually worked out a way to safely use pins!

Making mistakes is important! It's such an important part of learning any skill, and figuring out ways to make those mistakes less stressful can really help, even outside of fibre arts.

Knitting tip of the day: if you're getting into knitting and want to up your skills, do a mistakes dishcloth! Doesn't have to be a dishcloth, but they don't have to fit and it doesn't much matter if there's holes in them. For a mistakes dishcloths, however, you purposefully make mistakes. 1/?

Some days I leave the house thinking it's just a normal bad pain day, so I bring my cane, but then over the course of the 15 minutes it takes to walk to work, it becomes clear that it's a Very Bad Pain Day, and I'm on the verge of tears by the time I clock in.

the worst thing about bluesky is that when you sign up they don’t tell you how important your starting location is. now i can’t get any grain no matter what i do. i’ve resorted to barging in on strangers’ conversations offering to trade two wool and a lumber for a grain but i usually just get muted
