I think the most discouraging thing about all this AI stuff is I feel like it's just deepening the long term game of lauding a dev *until* something dire comes out. Workplace abuses, AI use, theft, sexual harassment, abusive hiring practices, etc. Like just waiting for a shoe to drop all the time.

I think people misunderstand, "It has to get worse before it gets better." Or at least I think we should change how it's used. I think the point is that, yes, there are immediate concerns that will happen as a result of changing things, but it's better than a prolonged, unending suffering.
