I recently moved to the UK from the US and have a health condition that needs monitoring. The wait for the specialist took a couple months but once I was in, I got all the care I needed. Free. Inpatient procedures, tests, scans the whole shebang. NHS has its problems but it’s so far ahead of the US.
I just paid a $1400 bill for a heart ultrasound for my kid (pediatrician thought it sounded weird). She was fine. Cigna is supposed to pay a total of $200 for it and we got a notice that they might not actually cover that

That may be true but the UK still has a massive housing shortage as well.
Put differently, if America had European "style" suburbs, much of the debate on affordability and density would not exist as it does today. That's how much of an improvement it would be at face value. It would immediately solve entire housing crises in at least several key regions, if not all.
This is true but glides over the fact that what passes as a suburb in e.g. England or France is already anywhere from x3-x5 more dense than their American counterpart. You are comparing things that are categorically different and are thus irrelevant to the American context lol
