We could have had nice things
Walz: We don’t need to run government like a business, because we’re not in the profit-making business. We’re in the business of improving lives and looking toward the future.

And second, this guy has a proven track record of being an absolute failure.

I was at a pta school luncheon and I had just dropped my phone on the floor as one of the moms got the alert and when I picked my phone up, the screen was just purple lines so I convinced everyone Prince’s ghost was now in my phone
Where were you when you first heard Prince died?
I first heard about it from a colleague (who worked from North Carolina) on Slack.

I wish I’d taken a screenshot. She posted in the water cooler channel something like “there are reports of ambulances in Chanhassen” and tagged me. I replied something like “this state will shut down for a while.”

I pledge not to take part in and not repeat the nasty infighting we saw in 2016.

If you are pro-democracy, we are allies. Period.

took a few days off for my brain and one pretty alarming observation i have is just how easy it is to not hear about the bad stuff that is happening if you don't explicitly dip into specific information streams (not a new problem but feels orders of magnitude more siloed than even 2-3 years ago)

In the grand scheme of things, it's not the biggest deal. But I am deeply disappointed that the Dodgers met with Trump today, especially the players who rightly refused in the past.

He's not a normal person. He's not a normal president. He's a fascist, and they helped normalize him today.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

“I don’t know about you, but I don’t think the United States Senate should vote for a single nominee that’s gonna participate in this fraud.” - Sen. @chrismurphyct.bsky.social

That is exactly the kind of leadership we need in this moment of constitutional crisis. Thank you, Senator Murphy!

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

We also need to put the (r) behind the name of every single one of these clowns we’re talking about in the hopes it may trickle weirdly to the uniformed voter. Make them own ALLL of it. Every single one of them. “Speaker Johnson (R).” “Trump (R)”. Etc. shove it in everyone’s face. Every time.
"Democrats need a message as straightforward as it is loud. Unemployment up? Trump’s fault. House prices too high? Trump’s fault. Groceries too expensive? Trump’s fault. The man who wants credit for everything must be blamed for everything."

James is right, Dems need to be ready to say this stuff:
Five months ago, Trump was using groceries as props. Now he barely talks about inflation, and he just further walked back his pledge to reduce prices. His reasons are deeply revealing.
