Seems like a political win to support small farms in USA and have stable supply/prices. Sometimes stable is better than cheapest. Rather than complain about Canadian #supplymanagement they might want to consider it.

We’re supposed to make a new Department of Education sandcastle every four years to get washed away? We’re supposed to hire 100ks of federal employees knowing the next guy will probably just fire them all again? What do you do about something like this?
Here’s the problem: Even if we somehow get these fuckers out, how can we be assured that the same shit won’t happen again in 4 years? Are we supposed to rebuild institutions twice a decade? Will our former allies bother with us again knowing another asshole will be elected by the next Olympics?
