Wow, this is a thing? Apparently on Steam you cannot send gifts if there's a price difference between the sender/receiver regions. It won't charge you the higher price or anything, you just can't buy it.

For adventure gamers who remember The Old Ways: this is a nice critique of early 2000s gamer snark. Gabriel Knight 3 had some really good bits, and adventure games didn't die - big American publishers just stopped selling them. (The cat moustache puzzle was genuinely bad, though.)
It wasn't Gabriel Knight 3's cat mustache puzzle that killed "adventure games." They never died, even if the industry killed off Sierra On-line. www.endlessmode.com/video-games/...
