Recovering perfectionist, sometimes writing writer, artist, and an incredibly distracted knitter. she/they
🖤🤍💜
So I guess I'm giving up on falling back asleep.

I just love when my do not disturb gets randomly disabled and I get calls at 7:30.

Really helping that flu recovery there.

Know I'm out there with you in spirit today.

Flu is keeping me sidelined tho.

I think my current knitting project is going to be slightly more complicated than I thought. Something seems wonky with the sizing.

And sadly the pattern creator passed away so I can't ask.

But it is simple enough I think I can figure it out.

Cabled Summer Halter pattern by Sian Price-White
This cool summer halter is easy and quick to knit up. It is knit in the round with a cable detail, picot edges and i-cord strap. Nicely fitted it drapes over the body with enough coverage for a strapl...

It might just be the hyper fixation talking, but looking at knitting patterns determining which certain characters would wear is my current obsession in character creation exercises.

(Also like, how many of these do *I* want for me...)

Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

This is possibly the most significant attack on trans rights in this country yet, and I can count the number of posts on my timeline about this on my hands.

If you're trying to dismiss this thinking "It'll die in the senate," DON'T! Sound the alarms now!
Bluesky tonight is neatly divided between trans people and family members appropriately angry and freaking out and everyone else who has barely noticed.

Maaaaan replacing our media PC might quickly be becoming a now issue.

Leaving it off for 10 mins did *something* but "no bootable device" is not an error message you want to see.

You know... I was going to complain that I was going to have to change something and invalidate what I think is a pretty cool opening line, but in typing it out I might have figured out a solution. At least for now.

So uh, thanks I guess? 😅

Alma is essentially a knight, so she is often training physically. But it is not for fun exactly, it is trying to be better at the thing she was born into. She is very good at it.

Erid enjoys a dance come a festival, but it's not like something I'd call a hobby. Gardening is more her thing.
Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters

Does your character do any physical activities for fun?

Maybe running, dance, gymnastics, or other sports?

How skilled are they?

Or is that sort of thing not something they can/wish to do?

Much of the conflict in my world centers around the different interpretations the Guardian's message.

"[1st Paladin] my beloved, humanity must be protected..."
vs
"[1st Paladin], my beloved humanity must be protected..."

But the way it manifests in the world is too undefined.

Foreshadowing is a literary device -
Viewers/readers/players anticipating your plot twists in advance is GOOD ACTUALLY.

YOU DID A GOOD JOB WHY WOULD YOU RUIN IT. YOUR JOB ISN'T TO OUTSMART YOUR AUDIENCE. UNGUESSABLE PLOT TWISTS ARE BAD TWISTS.

sorry for the yelling but holy shit

Sigh. Can we please stop equating people not having sex with asexuality and with being inherently asocial or aberrant? That would be great, thanks. Signed, an actual asexual person.

I cannot stop laughing. This is so indicative of what's wrong with these AI people and how they view art

UPDATE: latest round of ballots counted shows that Katie Wilson now leads Bruce Harrell in the Seattle Mayor's race by 1,346 votes.

That's currently within the 2,000 vote margin to trigger an automatic machine recount. Though there are ~1,000 ballots with signature issues that could change that.

91 votes, y'all
If you haven't checked to make sure your vote counted, you need to do it now - the race for Seattle's future depends on it!

You want to keep seeing good art that will get you through the horrors?

As people become less able to support artist through monetary means, the more critical it will be to comment and share.

Tell me how my art moves you and I will resolve to keep making art even if it doesn’t pay for food.

This complaint is small and dumb in the long run, but I just have to vent.

Finally feeling the motivation to tackle the hellhole that is my fridge, but I cant take my crisper drawers out to really clean them because I can't open the door enough because of the stupid wall.
