On @msnbc, @eriellereshef plays our video of @brotherjones.bsky.social getting banned from @GovBillLee’s Teslas-only tunnel announcement — even though it was a state event, in his own district.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

MAGA sent kids in Texas to die to funnel funds to abduct immigrants.

The MAGA Murder Regime has one objective -- total power -- at any cost.

There's a lot to be said about identity, solidarity. But a simple place to start: the people who are willing to fight for their neighbors when their neighbors have different problems have a very, very good chance of having neighbors to fight with when you all share problems

No Going Back!
Ten years ago today, the Supreme Court made it possible for couples like Brad and me to marry in every corner of this country. It was a moment we never thought we’d live to see and one we’ll never take for granted.

this is a massive election for the future of san diego county (3.1M residents!) and has gotten very little national attention. honestly not that much local attention either!
Did you know that control of the board of San Diego County is on the line on Tuesday?

The board is split 2-2, and a Dem and Republican are fighting for the fifth spot in a few days.

One reason this matters: immigration policy and ties with ICE.

That an elected Republican can — without consequence — call for denaturalization of an immigrant citizen for winning a political race shows how deep into immorality political discourse in the US has been dragged.

We are dealing with evil men. Comparisons to 1930s Germany can no longer be denied.

Just because U.S. news media continues to shift focus to any number of other disasters, does NOT mean I.C.E. has stopped kidnapping people, all over the country—they have not.

These unconstitutional, openly violent GOVERNMENT actions will continue indefinitely and will reach your area, soon enough.

An addled president is shredding the Constitution to usher in white nationalism and fascism while destroying the economy and our health care, so if you’re going to write an alarmist op-ed because a mayoral candidate might open five (5) city-run grocery stores, you can kindly get bent.

I’m sure it’s worth it to make Bezos even richer. AI is a scam and it’s ruining people’s lives. In the right hands, technology can be put to good uses. This is definitely not one of them.
Amazon buying farmland, "de-watering" it to lay cable, creating energy demand double what state currently needs, getting $8 billion in tax breaks. All for whatever Anthropic's next AI model is going to be. This will never be worth the tradeoff.
What is the argument that this isn’t driving up energy use again? Enough to power a million homes. Millions of gallons of water used per year. All for one company, Anthropic. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/24/t...

On the 3rd anniversary of Roe being overturned the GOP’s war on women has escalated. They want to wipe out 1 in 4 abortion providers—even in states where abortion is legal. 90% of closures would hit safe haven states.
This isn’t about states’ rights.
It’s about no rights at all. Keep fighting!

Marine veteran says Border Patrol agents beat his dad, while agency says he swung trimmer at them. The manager of the IHOP where it happened disputed the claim: “He was protecting himself," he wasn't attacking.
