This is true and correct. But the problem isn't that they're trying to tell an incomplete story about Jackie Robinson. They're trying to erase him, and the contributions and achievements of Black people. Full stop.

A "peacock in a uniform", Rickey was unmatched as a lead-off hitter and those bright green Mizuno batting gloves were absolutely coveted by every kid who grew up playing in the 90's. Rest in Power to the OG base stealer from Oakland. There will never be another. Rickey loved him some Rickey.
