The playing surface was last replaced in December of 2022, so it's possible it's due to be redone this winter anyway. I don't think the condition of the grass is gonna be a major concern by late March.

Two that came to mind:

Purdue 48-20 over no. 2 Ohio State, 2018. Cost OSU a playoff bid and ultimately finished Urban Meyer's college coaching career.
Boston College 28-13 no. 10 FSU. Back-to-back standalone losses for FSU after they moaned all spring about the snub the year before.
