I'm a dual citizen, US/UK, and my British hometown is Bristol. It amazes me that such a large city has never managed to have a good team. Both Bristol City and Bristol Rovers have always been awful.

I think this is common ground for #Phillies and #Mets fans. I've mentioned my cousin a few times, but he's the closest thing I have to a brother. This has always been the common ground we find. Although I was *really* jealous in 1986 at age 12 (he's a Giants fan, too).

Rob Thomson is a GREAT person. Seeing him comfort 24-year-old Orion Kerkering after a brutal, mortifying, emasculating moment in the spotlight was heart-warming.

That said, he consistently makes the wrong decision, and has to go. If the managers were reversed, the #Phillies would have won the NLDS.

While average NYC pizza is better than average Philly pizza, I'd take my top three Philly pizza spots over any in NYC. Overbrook Pizza, Mr. P's, and partially for novelty, Lorenzo & Sons on South Street.

I've always had a grudging respect for #Mets fans, because it would be so easy and cheap to be a #Yankees fan. When the Mets win, it means something.

Very likely... I was in Japan last year, it was insane! The entire country are Dodgers fans. I have a hard time respecting teams that have a larger fan base outside their home area than inside it. Examples: Dodgers, Cowboys, Yankees... Manchester United. :)

#Flyers lose, #Phillies lose in heart-breaking fashion with a big assist from a missed third strike call... and now the #Eagles are pooping the bed to the awful #Giants.

My closest cousin who's a #Mets and Giants fan is gonna let me have it, hehehe.

Pitch #5. An inexcusable miss by the umpire. This is why replay review for balls and strikes is absolutely essential.

If that call is made correctly, the #Phillies win this game. Next year, none of us have to live with this nonsense again!

On the other hand, we outscored the Dodgers in our series, and every game was competitive. How'd it go last year? I seem to remember 9-0, 8-0, 10-2, and 10-5. We outscored the highest payroll ever, and they also got a big umpire assist on Call's walk, which led to their run.
