"But Doctor, I AM Pagliacci. As a matter of fact, I'm there right now."

"What do you mean? You're where right now?"

"At the Pagliacci show."

"That's fuckin' crazy, man."

"Call me. Dial the venue. Go ahead."

"<I TOLD YOU I WAS PAGLIACCI.>"

"[laughs] It's been a pleasure talking to you."
Has anyone stopped to consider that the Pagliacci in the doctor's office is a doppelgänger or tulpa

Here we have another hobble skirt-looking evening coat, this one also from 1912. This one is gorgeously made of purple velvet infused with gold metallic thread. It was owned by Camille Bernou de Rochetaillée de Broglie, the wife of a French physicist.

Once again, when I visited @PalaisGalliera's Worth exhibit this summer, I was shocked and so grateful to see one of my favorite dresses of all time- this 1910 purple velvet and tulle evening gown embroidered with metallic thread, pearls, and rhinestones. Worth's outfits always

#PalaisGalliera highlighted this 1910 dinner dress when referencing the House of Worth's prominence on the Rue de la Paix (number 7). The house itself exhibited an elegant facade with electric lighting and displayed various countries' flags when heads of state, like Russian Tsars

Another Rue de la Paix couturier, two doors down from Worth in the opposite direction, was Jacques Doucet. The #PalaisGalliera had this 1905 summer dress on show. It's a linen dress with embroidery, Valencienne lace, and a black velvet belt. #fashionhistory #ootd
