It’s darkly humorous he can’t even muster the ability to give some lip service to democracy or allowing the Venezuelan people to choose their leader.
FOX & FRIENDS: What do you think is next for the Venezuelan people now that you have removed Maduro so he can face American justice?

TRUMP: Well, we're making that decision now. We can't take a chance on letting somebody else run it, just take over where he left off. So we're making that decision

Watch this from 2027 and tell me Venezuela isn’t about oil.
Trump has always viewed other countries as resources to be taken, not sovereign nations.

“We should have kept the oil.”

His plan is to steal resources from other countries, and today it’s in action.

Venezuela:

This operation has been coming for months. We’ve seen the buildup in real time, and Trump couldn’t stop talking about it.

It was ready to go on Christmas, but they decided to bomb Nigeria instead.

I’m thankful no US forces were killed, but this likely isn’t over.

Under international law, this is unambiguously a war of aggression. There is no plausible pretext of self-defense. The objective is transparently to topple the government, install a surrogate of US liking, and to seize Venezuela's natural resource reserves. It exudes contempt for law in all forms.

TRUMP: Well I see that we're gonna be very strongly involved in it. That's all. What can I say. We have the greatest oil companies in the world.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

Trump has not even given MAGA the courtesy of explaining why we are engaging in regime change. If it is to stop the flow of fentanyl into the country, are we invading Mexico and China next? If it is to overthrow a dictator, will American troops storm Tehran and Moscow soon?
Trump Launches Regime Change, Humiliates MAGA Again
Trump’s coalition was built on a shared belief that the system lies — about wars, about enemies, about who benefits when bombs fall.

Do not accept Trump's bad faith as if it's good. Do not accept Trump's lies as if they're true. Force him to explain himself and if you're not satisfied, reject his authority to govern in your name. This act of war is not in the national interest. It's in his.
Here's what liberals need to do first -- reject any and all discourse that does not concede to reality that this is an illegal and illegitimate act of war. Trump is not "testing war powers." He's profaning them, full stop. Those who can't or won't call a spade a spade deserve nothing but contempt.

Minnesota GOP Speaker Lisa Demuth went to Nick Shirley to target Somali-owned daycares, feeding racist fraud narratives. Now all federal childcare funding is frozen. This was about scapegoating families of color and now everyone pays for their hate.

I recently found another way that this poverty penalty affects people w/out healthcare insurance. I went in for 2 vaccines. 1st was no cost to me. The 2nd was going to cost me $40. With my current insurance card, the cost dropped to zero. The poor “fees” never end, even when trying to stay healthy
The "poverty penalty."
Excellent points.

Trump didn't even serve up the lies like George W. Bush to justify regime change in Iraq after 9/11. He simply bombed another country, kidnapped their leader to cause regime change. Republicans LOVE War--especially ones to steal the oil of other countries! Impeach Trump now!!!

Trump pardoned & released the drug king-pin who was a former president of Honduras

But has now kidnapped Venezuela's Maduro calling him a drug king-pin

But really... it's about regime change and the oil.

It has nothing to do w/ Fentanyl

This is OUTRAGEOUS!
